Our values
At the Distillerie Paul Devoille, we have always sought to preserve traditional skills passed on to us from previous generations.
Our focus on doing a proper job and ensuring the highest quality standards pervades the entire production process.
The result is a palette of flavours drawn from fruit harvested in France’s prestigious fruit-growing areas. This is enhanced by traditional or innovative recipes.
But our focus is also on the future…
Tradition, authenticity, innovation
Respect for tradition by no means precludes innovation!
The company’s production techniques have continually evolved over the years, which is precisely what has enabled it to develop over the past 160 years!
This approach has also provided us with opportunities to export our products so that around 25% of our output is now shipped to various European countries as well as North America, Russia, Asia, Japan, Israel, etc.
Made in France and environmentally friendly
We are a socially responsible and green company. We produce almost all our commercial specialities in Fougerolles. Wherever possible, we use products that are produced in France, both in terms of the fruit we use and other supplies. This is our way of taking a stand against offshoring and offering authentic flavours from French fruit-growing areas.
Every day, we do our utmost to protect the planet. For instance, we have implemented a raft of measures aimed at recovering our waste and saving energy.
Preservation of our natural resources
Regularly faced with water shortages, we have focused the design of our last two stills on saving energy and limiting our CO2 emissions.
Less water: the hot water produced during the refrigeration of our eaux-de-vie is reused for washing the stills at the end of distillation and for heating our bottling room.
Less gas: the heat produced during the distillation is recovered and allows us to heat the shop.
Our environmental consciousness is very old. At our level, we help protect our vital resources.
